Rob Kehoe, Co-Founder and President
The Winning Ways Soccer program was developed by Rob Kehoe, nationally recognized performance coach whose Winning Ways team development programs have contributed to championship performances in Olympic, professional, college, high school and youth sports; including, NCAA Soccer Champions, the University of Wisconsin, Indiana University, the University of Maryland, and the University of North Carolina. Rob has extensive experience in teaching, coaching and counseling athletes, and has assisted many in achieving their performance goals at the high school, college and professional levels, in competition, as well as in academics, and personal life
Steve Myrland, Co-Founder and Director of Functional Training
Steve Myrland is an athletic development and performance coach for competitive athletes at all levels and a consultant on health and fitness both nationally and internationally. He is the creator of several training products including the ABC LADDER and the SMART-HURDLE. Steve began his coaching career with the University of Wisconsin in 1988, assisting with Big-Ten and National Championship efforts in Hockey, Soccer, Cross-Country, Tennis, and Rowing. In 1993-94, he took a one-year leave-of-absence from the UW to work with the SAN JOSE SHARKS of the National Hockey League. That season, the Sharks set an NHL team record for single-season improvement, boosting their league standing point-total by fifty-eight over the previous season’s record and making it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
Through his close association with Vern Gambetta, he has had the opportunity to work with the CHICAGO WHITE SOX (Major League Baseball), the TAMPA BAY MUTINY (Major League Soccer) and serve as a faculty member for Vern’s annual GAIN Conference at Rice University. Steve continues to advise and train high school, college and professional athletes and is the Movement Specialist for Middleton – Cross Plains Area Schools.
Robert L. Kehoe III, Technical Director
Robert has helped soccer players maximize their athletic and personal potential since his college years and has been an instrumental part of the Winning Ways training program from its inception. He was a four-year letter winner, and all conference selection at perennial Division III power, Wheaton College (IL), playing in four NCAA tournaments, reaching the national quarterfinals in 2002. After graduating from Wheaton he was an assistant coach for the men and women at St. Olaf College in 2004, and again for the men in 2006. In recent years he’s been personal trainer and advisor for numerous college and pro players. Robert also received his masters degree in philosophy from Boston College, is a writer-in-residence at Upper House in Madison, WI, and a contributing editor at The Point Magazine. Mike Kehoe, Business Director
Mike was learning the game of soccer at a young age when his Uncle Rob created the Winning Way's program, which made him an easy test subject as the skills program was developing. He later played for the Division I soccer program at Eastern Illinois University. After graduating from EIU with his degree in Kinesiology and Sports Studies, Mike took an entrepreneurial path and founded two companies in the Financial Technology space. In 2018 he sold both companies and turned his attention toward expanding the Winning Ways program.
